DATAEQUIP has extensive experience in the configuration and installation of Local Area Networks. We are a NOVELL authorized dealer and also have a relationship with Microsoft for the Windows NT Network Operating System and with Bay Networks for the Banyan Network system. Our LAN experience includes the cable drops to the work stations, configuration of file servers, configuration of network hubs such as synoptic and LANNET, installation of software, connoting the individual workstations to the file server, password security and training and support.
Some of our key projects include:
INS, MIAMI: On this task we installed NOVELL NETWORKS at 3 locations in Miami for the Immigration and Naturalization Service. A total of 450 users were connected at these locations. We configured file servers, installed the synoptic Network components, pulled additional cable, installed software, and connected the network to the headquarters office in Washington D.C. We also provided the documentation.
SBA, WASHINGTON D.C.: We have installed NOVELL LANs at multiple sites nationwide for the SBA. The Networks were installed in Washington D.C., New York, El Paso, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland. DataEquip provided all the hardware, software, cable drops, network components, complete systems integration, configuration and installation. DataEquip provided support, maintenance and some training.
BUREAU of MINES, DENVER: On this contract DataEquip installed NOVELL LANS in Denver, Pittsburgh, and Washington D.C. We provided complete systems integration services including hardware, software, network components, cable drops, installation, training and support. DITSO - DENVER: On this contract a variety of network products, peripherals and services were procured by the agency over a one year period. These included file servers, workstations, network hubs, routers, cables, software and some installation. There were over 400 line items on this contract.
DISA, DENVER: This was a one year contract. DataEquip Supported the DISA- WESTHEM enterprise Network (250 users) which operates under Windows NT/Netware. The contract called for three full time positions, which included a Senior Network Administrator, a Junior Network Administrator and a PC Help Desk Specialist.
